Bible Mysteries

The Bible was written in a language of symbolism, this symbolism conceals the Wisdom Knowledge of God, Creation, Soul and the regeneration of Man. If we are to understand the message contained therein, it is necessary to know the keys in order to unlock the doors of these Mysteries. The whole process of regeneration and immortality is hidden in the New Testament of the Bible in symbols and allegories, which comprised the greater mysteries. Rebirth or Being Born Again is the process of channeling the creative "(sexual)" energy to rejuvenate the body cells and tissues in order to transform or spiritualize the body.

In the New Testament there are 27 phrases related to these mysteries, “It is given unto you to know the mysteries, • we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, • we make known the mysteries of the gospels and the mystery which hath been hid from ages” These phrases and many more like them will be found in: Matthew 13:11, Mark 4:11, Luke 8:10, Romans 11:25, 16:25, I Corinthians 2:7, 4:1, 13:2, 14:2, 15:51, Ephesians 1:9, 3:3, 3:4, 3:9, 5:32, Colossians 1:26, 1:27, 2:2, 4:3 II Thessalonians 2:7, I Timothy 3:9, 3:16, Revelation 1:20, 10:7, 17:5, 17:7.

The word “mystery” as used in the New Testament by the writers of the Gospels meant “that which is known only to the "initiated". Initiation was one safe way of preserving truth, and of conveying it only to the worthy and well qualified. To write in symbols and to speak of truth in parables and allegories was the tradition that has been handed down throughout the ages.

Paul also unequivocally says that the story of Abraham and the two sons whom he had by Sarah and Hagar is purely allegorical (Gal. iv:22-26). Many passages are veiled; others are to be taken verbatim; and no one without the key is able to find the deep truth hidden in those pages. The secrecy regarding these deep matters and the in variable use of allegories where the mass of the people were permitted to come in contact with occult truths will also be apparent from the practice of Jesus, who always spoke to the multitude in parables, afterward privatelyexplaining to his disciples the deeper meaning contained therein. On several occasions he imposed secrecy upon them with regard to such private teachings.“It is given unto you to know the mysteries,”

Paul's methods are also in harmony with this, for he gives "milk" or the more elementary teaching to the “babes" in the faith, reserving the "meat" or deeper teaching for the "strong"— those who had qualified themselves to understand and receive them.

Observe very carefully the very next time you read the Bible, and see if you can find the word human anywhere, from Geneses to Revelation it is never used. Why?, because the writers of the Bible did not leave a message for the hu-man, it is a message for the real Man-the "Soul." A message to stir-up its pure mind by way of remembrance.

Soul Defined

Here we feel it appropriate to give the scientific definition of Man (Soul).. Man (Soul) is the individualized projection of the "Great Principle (God)" into its own eternal substance. It Proceeds from the Great Principle and is indissolubly connected with it. Manifesting all its qualities and powers. Man (Soul), not the body, not the "mind" is indeed the image and likeness of the Absolute. IT is coexistent and coeternal with it’s father, the Great Principle (God). Therefore, being eternal it (The Soul-Man) penetrated into the material world and attracted around itself-fire, earth, water, and air all the necessary elements to construct a physical vehicle for its expression on this earth plane.

SYMBOLISM, MYTHOLOGY and ALLEGORY

Symbolism is the language of Religion; in fact it is the language not only of religion, mysticism and philosophy but of all nature. Every "law" and power active in universal procedure is manifested to the limited sense perceptions of man through the medium of a symbol and this method is used extensively throughout the Bible.

Symbols are worthless unless they signify facts. That is to say, they must represent stages of thought and evolution which can be verified within the individual conscious experience. Concealed within the emblematic figures, allegories, and rituals of all religions is a secret doctrine concerning the inner mysteries of "life".

A symbol represents a stage in the evolution of one individual which can be reproduced in the life experience of another, despite the lapse of time.

Nature’s wisdom will remain concealed until this race has learned to read the universal language - SYMBOLISM.

In ancient Bible times, science was orally transmitted, from teacher to student. Books were not only rare and difficult of multiplication, but in order that scientific knowledge might be concealed, it was considered unlawful to commit it to writing.

While an abstruse and difficult lecture is not easy to either remember or repeat, an ALLEGORICAL tale; can with ease be retained in the memory and communicated to another, together with the (key) for its interpretation. This key was religiously kept secret by the priests and philosophers, and was only imparted to those who were initiated into the mysteries. By these means the priests ruled the people with a despotic power.

The MYTHOLOGICAL fables, most of them too absurd to be believed as real histories, yet we have accepted many of them as such. With the key, they are found to contain profound truths. These fables served a threefold purpose;

1.They kept the secrets of science from all but those who understood the key to them.

2.Being easy to remember, they served the art of mnemonics; or artificial memory, to keep alive the recollection of scientific facts which would otherwise be lost.

3.Being a means of keeping the people in ignorance, by their use the priests were able to rule through their superior knowledge of the secrets of nature, which gave them the power of working apparent miracles.

Symbol: An object used to represent something abstract; emblem: as, the dove is a symbol of peace.

Myth: A traditional story of unknown authorship, serving to explain some phenomenon of Nature, the origin of man, or any imaginary person or thing.

Allegory: A story in which people, things, and happenings have another meaning, often morally instructive, as in a fable, the presenting of ideas by means of such stories.

The Trinity of The Bible

It is most surprising to most casual Bible readers for them to learn that the Bible was written in the trinity. That is, it speaks of the physical, metaphysical and spiritual aspects of God throughout his relationship with man and the universe.

Therefore when we read the Bible this must always be kept in mind. We must be alert enough to distinguish between what is the physical, metaphysical or spiritual. This is why it is stated that we must study to show ourselves approved unto God.

Myths and Allegories are stories to be UNDERSTOOD, they were not intended to be BELIEVED. When the ear of the student is ready, then will the teacher appear to fill them with knowledge.

A Short History

The Jewish Bible was originally written In Hebrew, but we do not possess one single line of the original writings. As early as 280 B. C. the Septuagint, a translation into Greek, was brought forth. Even in the time of Jesus there was already the utmost confusion and diversity of opinion regarding what was to be admitted as original, and what had been interpolated. The Talmud was then taken in hand by the Masorete school, which It was not until the return from the Babylonian exile that the scribes began to piece together the different writings, and not until about 500 A. D. did the Talmud appear, giving the first text resembling the present one, which, in view of the foregoing facts, cannot be perfect.

from 590 to about 800 A. D. was principally in Tiberias. With great and painstaking labor, a Hebrew Old Testament was produced, which is the nearest to the original we have at the present time.

The term “Englishing” was coined when so many different English versions of the Bible were appearing in the British Isles culminating with the authorized Version of Scripture better known in America as the King James Version of 1611.

The greatest obstacle to an early English translation of the Bible was the mixing and blending of languages on the isles of Britain. In spite of the efforts which have been made to eradicate them mistakes are still there.

During this period of history few could read or write. It was the intense preaching of the gospel by the educated monks and their students that brought about the extension of Christianity throughout Britain.

It must also be noted that those who originally wrote the Bible did not intend to give out the truth in such plain form. Nothing was further from their thoughts than to write an "open book of God."

At that particular time the language of the church's worship was Latin and its version of the Scriptures was also in Latin. (Old Latin was a translation from the Septuagint Greek Scriptures of the Old Testament and not from Hebrew. The New Testament was based on various Greek versions.) Jerome (342 - 420)was commissioned by Pope Damasus in 382 to revise the Old Latin version of the gospels. However, he used a Greek manuscript.

The words of the Hebrew language, particularly the old style, run into one another and are not divided as are those of our language. Add to this that there is a custom of leaving out vowels from the writing, so that in reading much depends upon where and how they are inserted, and it will be seen how great are the difficulties to be surmounted in ascertaining the original meaning. A slight change may entirely alter the signification of almost any sentence.

In addition to these great difficulties we must also bear in mind that of the forty-seven translators of the King James version of the Bible (that are commonly used in England and America), only three of the translators were Hebrew scholars, and of those three, two died before the Psalms had been translated!

We must still further take into consideration that the Act which authorized the translation prohibited the translators from any rendition that would greatly deviate from or tend to disturb the already existing belief. It is evident, therefore, that the chances of getting a correct translation were very small indeed.

The same happened in Germany, there Martin Luther was the sole translator and even he did not translate from the original Hebrew text, but merely from a Latin text. Most of the versions of the Bible used in all Continental Protestant countries today are simply translations, into the different languages, of Luther's translation. True, there have been revisions, but they have not greatly improved matters. Moreover, there is a large number of people in this country who insist that the English text of the King James version is absolutely correct from cover to cover, they have gone so far as to call it the word of God, as though the Bible had been originally written in English, and the King James version were a certified copy of the original manuscript.
